Fine Artist - Art Instructor
My creative practice is rooted in personal experience and a deep appreciation for the people, animals, and landscapes that shape my life. Growing up in a small town in Connecticut, I developed a lasting connection to the natural environment, particularly the farms, woods, and wildlife that surround me. These familiar landscapes, along with the animals and people I love, have become central subjects in my drawings and paintings.
My work is autobiographical, reflecting the things that hold meaning in my everyday life. Whether painting the landscape I call home, an animal encountered within it, or the people and companions closest to me, I am drawn to subjects that have remained constant throughout my life. Through drawing and painting, I celebrate and preserve these connections, honoring what I hold dearest through my own creative lens. My work is ultimately an expression of what I love and a means of maintaining a lasting connection to the people, places, and experiences that give my life meaning.
Allison is an adjunct professor teaching Studio Art courses at Sacred Heart University and Middlesex Community College while pursuing a career as an artist. She received her Master of Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art in spring 2021. Her work has been exhibited in multiple group exhibitions, including the Washington Art Association National Juried Exhibition 2026, Five Points Gallery 2025 Small Works Juried Exhibition, the Tribeca Ball at the New York Academy of Art, and a group exhibition with Village One Art Gallery in Chelsea, NYC. Allison’s solo exhibition Tones of Home will be on view at the Pegasus Gallery at Middlesex Community College in CT from November 2026 to January 2027.
