Allison Riback
Fine Artist - Art Instructor

My creative practice is rooted in personal experience and a deep connection to home, which I explore through drawing and painting. Growing up in a small town in Connecticut, I developed a strong relationship with nature, music, and the memories formed within that landscape. These influences continue to shape both my work and my personal growth as a woman and an artist. Surrounded by nature from an early age, I recognize its lasting importance—not only as subject matter, but as a grounding force that informs my way of seeing and making.

The drawings and paintings I create are inspired by the place where I grew up and the elements that continue to shape my identity. Through imagery drawn from memory and lived experience, my work preserves specific moments and sensations, allowing me to return to them and remain connected to my roots no matter where I am.
